Welcome to Deepvee Powerboat Training, the North East's number one Power boat Training Centre. We run RYA recognised Powerboat Courses throughout the year from our base at Royal Quays Marina. The Royal Quays Marina is located near Newcastle upon Tyne and is the best known Power boating Centre in the North East of England.
We have been running our Powerboat Courses for the last 9 years and we are proud to say we have hundreds of satisfied clients. Our customers come from all over the country thanks to our reputation and expertise.
We employ modern teaching methods that guarantee results and satisfaction and use active rather than passive learning. Deepvee power boat training does as much of the theory as possible on the water rather than sitting inside a classroom looking at slides. We differ from other schools by concentrating on key areas of the RYA syllabus and keep the emphasis on safety. Our aim is to give the client as much confidence as possible to use their own boat without the need to worry. Power boating is a fun sport and our training courses are structured to be interesting, inspiring and enjoyable.
We cater for all Powerboating needs, whether you have recently purchased your first boat and need some basic training on how to drive it safely or whether you are going abroad and need the ICC License (International Certificate of Competence). Whatever your Powerboating requirements are, we have the right course for you.
We also run the RYA Short range certificate for VHF Marine Radio Course, this is the new D.S.C and G.M.D.S.S. Course, covering the correct use of Marine radio and digital calling. This course has become very popular due to the new regulations requiring that all operators have this license.
Our most popular course is the RYA Level 2 which is a 2 day course covering all the most important techniques for safe boat handling. The Level 2 Course is available as one to one or as a group of three.
Deepvee Powerboat Training uses a 6 metre R.I.B boat equipped with a 90 hp 4 stroke engine, hydraulic steering and GPS. The boat also has a life raft and all the safety equipment you would expect from an RYA teaching establishment. Alternatively, we can run the course from your own boat, but this is only available on a one to one basis.
Our clients are come from all over the north of England and Scotland to train with us from Tyne and Wear, Durham, Teeside, Northumberland and North Yorkshire.
